Recorder Roadshow is a gala concert programme for recorder players and music lovers of all ages. International recorder maestro Piers Adams and keyboard wizard Howard Beach have assembled a breathtakingly eclectic blend of music displaying the recorder’s amazing capabilities, and their programme features thrilling, newly composed items in which massed participants from local schools and music centres perform alongside the artists on stage.

The Roadshow has already been a huge success nation-wide in generating interest in the recorder and awareness of its amazing possibilities, and over 6000 children so far have taken part. Promoters who have booked the Recorder Roadshow include Newbury Festival (twice), Turner Sims Concert Hall, Southampton (three times), Wingfield Arts (three times) Leicester Festival, Great Elm Festival, Cleveland Music Society, and the show’s innovators, Walsall Music Circle, who have to date mounted three Roadshow concerts and a world-record-breaking recorder event involving 650 children, which received national television coverage on BBC’s ‘Newsround’.
